Pawsing For Pets: Precious Penelope has been through a lot and needs a furever home 🐾
Sweet Penelope joined the shelter approximately a year ago as a puppy, discovered alongside her brother under a bridge. After being adopted, she faced adversity when she was surrendered back to the shelter on May 1. The reason? She had ingested an 18″ sock or stocking, causing a significant blockage in her stomach. Remarkably, she endured two weeks without eating before her owner sought veterinary assistance.Unfortunately, the financial burden of the necessary veterinary treatment led to her return to the shelter.Fortunately, she underwent emergency surgery and is currently recuperating. Once she regains her strength and fully heals, she will be ready for adoption.
