St. Augustine humane is helping Princess Charlie find his furever home!

Princess Charlie, an 8-month-old tuxedo female kitty in search of her forever home, exudes friendliness and charm, particularly with children. Dubbed PC for short, she found herself abandoned at the St. Augustine Homeless Coalition’s food Pantry before being rescued and brought to the St. Augustine Humane Society by a member of the TNR community. Thanks to the TNR program, Princess Charlie has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and is now eagerly awaiting adoption.

With her adventurous spirit and easygoing nature, Princess Charlie is unfazed by new environments and happily interacts with children and other pets. The hope is strong that she will soon find a loving owner and potentially become an early entrant in the St. Augustine Humane Society’s Pin Up Paws Sweet Things 2025 Calendar contest.

The Pin Up Paws Calendar Contest, a beloved tradition and signature fundraiser for SAHS, commences on May 1st, welcoming entries from all pet owners. Participants vie for the coveted title of “Cover Pet” and the chance to grace the pages of the prestigious calendar. Beyond its entertainment value, the contest serves as a vital platform to showcase SAHS’s programs and raise essential funds for its initiatives. Interested individuals can find more details about the contest at www.pinuppaws.com.

For those interested in giving Princess Charlie a loving home, inquiries can be directed to the St. Augustine Humane Society. Let’s come together to find Princess Charlie her forever family. Moreover, Princess Charlie herself extends a playful challenge to fellow pets, encouraging them to join the St. Augustine Sweet Things 2025 Calendar Contest.

St. Augustine Humane Society is committed to providing resources that strengthen lifelong human-animal bonds in the community. We strive to eliminate the need for families to relinquish their pets to shelters, enabling pets to live happily and healthfully in their homes.

They address issues pet owners face when struggling to maintain the health of their household pets, including the inability to afford pet food, veterinarian fees, overpopulation due to unsterilized animals, behavioral problems, and a lack of education regarding the complexities of pet ownership.

Their goal is to eliminate the need for families to relinquish their pets to shelters, enabling pets to live happily and healthfully in their homes for the entirety of their lives.
