ORANGE PARK, Fla. – The northbound lanes on Blanding Boulevard near Wells Road and the Orange Park Mall were blocked Monday afternoon after a serious crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
An SUV was driving on Orange Park Northway just before 10:30 a.m. when 22-year-old driver in another SUV was traveling north on Blanding Boulevard. The 36-year-old man drove his vehicle into the intersection of Blanding Blvd. and hit the right side of the 23-year-old’s vehicle, causing him to loss control, overturn and be ejected.

The 22-year-old driver is in critical condition. The report said he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The 36-year-old man did not suffer any injures.
Originally, police said they were searching for a driver who ran away from the crash. The report did not provide more information.
Traffic was diverted to Plaza Circle.
