JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The News4JAX Super 6 high school softball rankings will be published Thursday’s during the regular season. Records are through April 3.

Rank, previous, team, record, classification

1. (1) Baldwin (14-0, Class 3A)

Notable wins: Baker County, Mandarin, Middleburg, Paxon.

Glance: Two romps since our last Super 6, a 14-4 win over Bartram Trail and a 10-0 rout of Ridgeview. The scoreless inning streak ended at 32 innings, but they started one right back up. Baldwin has reigning state champ University Christian up next on Thursday night before the Gateway Conference tournament next week. Kendall North (.548, 3 HR, 19 RBI) boosted her average 35 percentage points last week. Amiyah Jones (.426) and Cali Hartung (.409, 4 HR, 26 RBI) also kicked things up statistically. Jazmine Ramos-Merced has been out for Baldwin, but, for good reason. She’s playing with Team Puerto Rico in the U18 Pan Am women’s championships in Monteria, Colombia. She’s hitting .286 in the tournament with five runs scored, a pair of doubles and five RBI.

2. (2) Episcopal (14-1, Class 3A)

Notable wins: Baker County, Fernandina Beach, Fletcher, Glenwood (Alabama), Oakleaf, Ponte Vedra, Providence, West Nassau, West Orange.

Glance: The Eagles are cruising. They belted Bolles (14-0) and shut down a quality Baker County (3-0) since our last Super 6. Up next this week is Paxon on Thursday night. Grace Jones is a machine (.591, 5 HR, 10 RBI), boosting all of her numbers since our last Super 6. In the circle, she’s 14-1 with 183 Ks in 86.1 IP.

3. (3) Middleburg (12-1, Class 5A)

Notable wins: Baker County, Mandarin, Nease, Paxon, West Nassau.

Glance: The Broncos outslugged Columbia 11-10 in their lone game since our last Super 6, a wild come-from-behind classic where they pushed five runs across in the bottom of the seventh to walk it off. Alyssa Prather (.575, 19 RBI, 4 HR), Kaelyn Hagan (.524, 21 RBI, 5 HR) and Kerra Clarida (.500, 24 RBI, 8 HR) are crushing the ball for Middleburg.

4. (5) Oakleaf (10-4, Class 6A)

Notable wins: Creekside, Fleming Island, Keystone Heights (twice), Ponte Vedra, University Christian

Glance: The Knights have won five straight, including a 4-1 win over Creekside since our last Super 6. They’ve got the always challenging Kissimmee Klassic up next this week. Jaydyn Beall (.500) and Charley Maddox (.489) are getting things done at the plate for Oakleaf.

5. (4) Creekside (13-2, Class 7A)

Notable wins: Bartram Trail, Fleming Island, Mandarin, Merritt Island, Nease, Ponte Vedra, Trinity Catholic.

Glance: The Knights went 1-1 since our last Super 6, a 5-3 win over Mandarin and a 4-1 loss to No. 4 Oakleaf. This is where the difficult part of the schedule begins to take shape. They’ve got a home game against No. 3 Middleburg on Thursday night up next. Kaylee Martineau (.452, 14 RBI) and Hailey Cunningham (.452) are leading the Knights.

6. (NR) Baker County (9-4, Class 4A)

Notable wins: Fort White, Keystone Heights, University Christian, Yulee,

Glance: The Wildcats return to the Super 6 after a solid 3-1 stretch where they beat previously ranked University Christian (2-0), Keystone Heights (5-2) and Trinity Christian (3-0). Of their four losses, Baldwin and Episcopal are the top teams in the area. West Nassau is another, and the Warriors were previously ranked. Baker County gets the nod this week ahead of UC.
