JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – News4JAX Super 6 No. 1 St. Johns Country Day led the way for area teams as the Florida High School Athletic Association announced the playoff bracket on Saturday morning.
The Spartans (20-6) have played for state championships in 2021 and last year under coach Tom Lucas. They open the postseason road against St. Francis on Wednesday. They could be in for a second-round collision against the area’s hottest team in University Christian (17-9). UC has won nine in a row after clobbering Eagle’s View 10-0 for the District 3-2A title on Thursday night.

Earning No. 2 seeds were Bishop Kenny (19-8) in Region 1-4A, Super 6 No. 2 Trinity Christian (21-6) in Region 1-3A, Creekside (17-10) in 1-7A, Columbia (15-12) in 1-5A and Union County (14-13) in Region 3-1A.
The Conquerors’ region is stacked with area teams. Trinity opens with Trinity Catholic and would face either Bolles or Episcopal in the second round with a win. That region also has a colossal all-area showdown between Bishop Snyder and Providence as well as the Bulldogs and Eagles.
