JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – More than 60 local Special Olympics Florida athletes enjoyed their Thursday as the newest members of the Jaguars.

They each signed one-day contracts as part of the 6th annual Special Olympics Florida Fantasy Camp.

“I love it. It’s a great place and I enjoy being here with my friends,” Anne Kessler, Special Olympian from Ocala, said.

The athletes had the chance to tour Everbank Stadium and received customized jerseys and branded Jaguars gear.

“It was a blast. I like football, especially Jaguars. I have a bunch of Jaguars stuff in my room. I actually root for the Jaguars at my house. I certainly enjoy watching their games,” Taylor Simpson, Special Olympian from Jacksonville, said.

The athletes also participated in a skills camp in the Flex Field at Daily’s Place with the team’s 2024 Rookie Class.

Jaguars kicker Cam Little said this event is really important to him.

“I know how much this means to them and I know they’re going to be remembering this day for the rest of their lives so to know that we have an impact on it is greater than anything I can accomplish on the field so just to know that is super near and dear to my heart,” Little said.
